Good morning and welcome to day 1 of our coverage from Tierp Arena of the Summit Racing Scandinavian Internationals from 11th-14th August. We arrived here yesterday in bright sunshine and a big Thank You to Tomas Petterson of Speedgroup and Bjön Sjoberg of TimeTree, were given access to the timing system, we are much indebted to them. Thanks also to media centre head Lotta Andersson and best wishes to Lotta's husband Erik Zettervall who contributed to development of our live reporting in the early days of Eurodragster.com and is currently tuned in from home.

The weather today is warm with temperature of 19C rising to 27C and wind from the South West at a minimal 8mph, density altitude is expected to be 1000ft at 9am when racing starts rising to 1900ft by around 3pm with 70.9 grains of water.

Hello to all Eurodragsterholics tuned into our coverage which will include on track and pit photography from Julian and the race report which we will include as much detail as possible. We won't be able to do a split screen as before for reasons I won't bore you with but results will, as with many Scandinavian events be posted on www.dragracing.eu thanks to TimeTree for posting them.

Hi to colleagues Kirstie who is on holiday in France but doubtless will have a look in to our coverage, Diana and Kieran who will be covering racing from Dakota Raceway on Sunday. Happy Birthday to Modified 100e racer Scott Collin and belated greetings to Pro Modified racer Bobby Wallace, here's hoping you had or are having a great day.
