It's another glorious day with hardly a cloud in the sky. The temperature is currently 18C with a forecast high of 28C and wind 7mph from the south west. Density altitude is 1200-1900ft, a few hundred feet higher than yesterday. The first two sessions of FIA/FIM-E qualifying yesterday produced some interesting results, some racers struggled and others had stellar runs. As has often been said, the track is the great equaliser and those that have tuned to the specific conditions here have often done well. Today we start with eliminations, the intention being to have each sportsman class down to the final eight by the end of the day in advance of tomorrow's final eliminations. There will also be three FIA/FIM-E qualifying sessions at 09:50, 12:50 and 15:50. Greetings to our supporters who have not been able to make it here, we send best wishes to Andy and Hayley Hadfield and Cath and Tig Napier, also to Bob Roberts and Geoff Stilwell who has been undertaking some documentary film work with MAV TV from his workshop in the absence of the Bonneville Speed Week. Greetings also to Mike Kraaij whom we will see at the NitrOlympX in a couple of weeks' time. We attended the VP Racing Fuels seminar with Freddie Turza yesterday evening, the event had around 60 racers present and there was some interesting discussion on various topics. We will publish some photos from the event in due course.
