Samuel shut off after his burnout and was pushed back. Improvement for Anette but stayed in place, pedestrian-looking pass for Stefan, took it very easy. Jörgen's tyres up in smoke at the hit. 0.9791 to sixty for Benny, close to the guardrail about 300 feet out but stayed with it. Visibly quicker launch for Mats on this pass, 1.0578 to sixty, big move up the ladder. Lenn had to pedal off the line for shake. Big shake for Urban, got off the gas by sixty feet 1.5241. 1.1184 to sixty for Odd Erik, a pedal for shake and the front end went up in the air, car got close to the guardrail into the bargain but Odd Erik stayed with it. 1.1123 to sixty for Pontus, 1.1156 for Michael. Michael hit shake which we felt in here and he backed off with the motor spitting flame. Great run for Stefan H! I believe a PB, well done Stefan! 0.9857 to sixty , weaved about his lane some but stayed with it. 1.0841 to sixty for Stefan C. Solid pair of sixties for Pierre and Andreas, 0.9976 and 0.9925 respectively, Pierre had to pedal about 100 feet out, no visible problems for Andreas. Fantastic match between Victor and Jonas, had the Track Announcers screaming - I've heard "Oy oy oy" here today more than you would in Golders Green. 1.0059 to sixty for Victor and 0.9714 for Jonas, Jonas' car drifted towards the centre line but he wasn't getting off it for anything, wrenched it back. Mats' car didn't move on the green, pushed back. 0.9769 to sixty for Micke, straight run, up a place. Great race between Adam and Rimbert, when the boards lit up I got deafened by the annoncers - not without reason! Rimbert away first 0.0270 to 0.0400 and the better sixty 0.9387 to 0.9668. 2.5411/245.68 at 330 feet for Rimbert, 2.5481/255.20 for Adam. The cars looked glued together until Rimbert got close to the centre line and put his chute out a touch early.

Comp Eliminator qualifying session 5

Jeppe Bergdahl up from #21 to #15 in the first pair, 10.0553 on a 10.300 index from th e little dragster. Matti Rajamäki sent back for a fluid leak next pair. Stefan Persson's equally little dragster audbily suffering on his bye, the motor expired in a puff of smoke at about 1000 feet. Track checked and all OK. Adam Andersson up to #6 with a 6.9210 on 7.56 index from the A/A former Pro Mod. Fantastic run for Stig Olsson, 7.52 index but a 6.6978 from the wild slingshot which had its front wheels in the air pretty much to the eighth, up to #3. Per Bergström's dragster stopped after the burnout, Per out of the car and over the rail whilst the car sat about 100 feet out awaiting Peter Thörnäs' bye. Rolled through stage the first time of asking, then bad shake. Pär Eriksson looked to be on a good run in his six-second Volvo when there was a groan from the car, sounded like a protesting rear end, a few small pieces picked up from the track.

Good start for Ellsa, 1.1454 to sixty but then the bike went for the centre line and she had to throttle it back at the eighth 5.0850/219.78. Big improvement for Timo, 1.1774 to sixty and 4.6861/244.90 at the eighth, up to #3 at that point. Each successive run brings bigger shouts of joy in Race Control, great one for Kenneth too! 1.1066 to sixty, 4.5407/248.28, front wheel hovering just above the track to the eighth. Fantastic match between Kalle and Robert. Robert with the better sixty 1.0630 to Kalle's 1.0996 and the better eighth 4.4753/250.81 to 4.5119/250.70 but those bikes looked welded together. EDRS Pro Nordic Supertwin qualifying session 2 (left lane first)

Trond Høberget 8.9740/216.87, Per Bengtsson 8.2779/333.13; Anders Hörnström 8.9731/183.99, Svein Olav Rolfstad no time; Anna-Lena Asplund 19.8467/52.74, Vidar Ravnsborg 7.8906/265.49; Hans Olav Olstad 10.5597/127.63, Samu Kemppainen 6.5029/347.94

Trond with a cylinder our from the start, Per's tyre went up in smoke, he got off the gas and tried again and the tyre went up in smoke again. Per got off the gas and back on through sheer bloody-mindedness I think and the bike picked up, easily overtook Trond who shut off in the second half. 1.2560 to sixty for Anders, motor was smoking and sounded to be struggling all the way, 5.0704/198.24 at the eighth. Svein Olav's rear tyre went up in smoke at the hit, a cough from the motor, off the throttle and pulled over a hundred feet out. Anna-Lena was off the throttle before sixty feet 1.3473, Vidar got to sixty in 1.1334, got off the throttle for a second or so about 330 feet out then back on the gas most of the way. Great run for Samu! 1.1257 to sixty, 4.2696/287.23 at the eighth, right down the middle of his lane. Right on the quarter something came off the bike, looked like a wheelie bar side panel. 1.2401 to sixty for Hans Olav, about 400 feet out it looked like a drive belt broke.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Samu Kemppainen 6.5029/347.94
  2. Hans Olav Olstad 7.2886/240.32
  3. Vidar Ravnsborg 7.8906/265.49

Peter Andersson-Ström 6.3842/347.49 bye; Jan Sturla Hegre 7.0141/271.63, Sverre Dahl 6.1301/371.39

Fantastic run for Peter and I think a new PB, well done Peter and team! 1.0812 to sixty, front wheel just barely touching, 4.1380/286.47 at the eighth. A little smoke when he shut it off but track all OK. Long burnout by Jan Sturla had commentator PiPPi hooting. Fantastic run for Sverre, he's back in town! 1.0756 to sixty, 4.0625/306.30 at the eighth, straight down the middle of the lane. New PB also I think, well done Sverre and team! 1.1614 to sixty for Jan Sturla, looked like one cylinder out on the right side. 4.4891/276.36 at the eighth.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Sverre Dahl 6.1301/371.39
  2. Peter Andersson-Ström 6.3842/347.49
  3. Jan Sturla Hegre 7.0141/271.63

FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 2 (left lane first)

Stefan Gunnarsson 4.8704/400.59 bye;

Björn Mårtensson 4.6443/343.07, Urs Erbacher 4.1640/348.39; Micke Kågered 8.8764/121.05 bye; Liam Jones 11.5233/105.99 bye; Jari Halinen 4.0418/467.13, Stig Neergaard 16.4228/50.26

Courtesy of Simon we know that we have no Anita in this round as, as is common with Top Fuel fires, the motor is easily sorted but the wiring is all burned. Duncan Micallef's team were delayed on the way here and are still putting the car together.

Stefan's first competitive outing in Top Fuel Dragster. Looked like a relatively gentle launch, 1.0369 to sixty, nitro flames clear to see. 2.67955/243.13 at 330 feet and 3.8872/344.83 at the eighth, off the gas before the thousand and then a big cloud of smoke from the motor. Clean-up crew called to the shutdown area, trail started right on the thousand and went to the quarter.

On the restart Eurodragster.com sponsor Urs away first 0.1647 to Björn's 0.3492, and the much better sixty 0.8810 to 0.9644. Both going great guns towards the eighth, Urs visibly ahead 3.2276/415.07 to Björn's 3.6200/370.62 but then a flash of flame and cloud of smoke from Urs' motor and I guess the blower panel blew as the chutes deployed, Urs' crew raised their arms in depair but a 4.1 not to be sneezed at. Björn looked to be off the gas before the stripe, looked like everything was tuned right down but got the job done. 0.8825 to sixty for Micke, shake we could feel in Race Control and off the gas. Stopped on the shutdown area, quad sent for retrieval. Liam's tyres up in smoke a few feet out, motor screamed but Liam caught it quickly, 1.1659 sixty tells that tale. Carbon copy of Liam's launch for Stig, tyres smoking and engine screaming, 1.2371 sixty off the gas by then. 0.8800 to sixty for Jari, 2.2923/293.36 at 330 feet, 3.2442/435.13 at the eighth getting close to the centre line.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Stig Neergaard 4.0150/480.00
  2. Jari Halinen 4.0304/487.80
  3. Anita Mäkelä 4.0606/385.71
  4. Liam Jones 4.0655/432.69
  5. Urs Erbacher 4.1640/348.39
  6. Micke Kågered 4.3527/321.81
  7. Björn Mårtensson 4.6443/343.07
  8. Stefan Gunnarsson 4.8704/400.59

Shake off the line for Bengt, tried to drive through it past sixty feet 1.0203 but then shut it off. 0.9883 to sixty for Michael, 4.3273/263.54 at the eighth, shut it off before the thousand. 1.2225 sixty with shake for Jan, off the gas soon after. 1,1188 to sixty for Sampsa with shake, got off the throttle. 1.0364 to sixty for Christian, it sounded to me as if he were feathering the throttle to get over the first hundred feet then gave it the lot. Shut off by the eighth 4.5051/230.97 and chutes out just past there. homas away first 0.0447 to 0.0835, 1.0055 to sixty for Simon with shake, 1.0082 for Thomas also looked to be driving through shake. Simon shut it off before the eighth and had the chutes out, Thomas to the eighth in 4.3176/270.68. Great run for Jimmy, not only does he back up his earlier 6.498 for a new European ET record but sets a new European speed record of 346.15 kmh or 215.09 mph backed up by his earlier pass. 0.9945 to sixty and 4.1989/274.39 to the eighth. 1.0017 to sixty for Magnus but his motor unhappy as it was smoking in stage and on each gear shift.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Jimmy Ålund 6.4985/345.93
  2. Thomas Lindström 6.6519/339.84

  8. Bengt Ljungdahl 15.6855/76.08
  9. Sampsa Palos 19.9240/67.02

FIA Pro Modified qualifying session 2 (left lane first)

Jan Brännvall 17.0945/98.15 bye; Åke Persson shut off, Micke Johansson 8.2884/183.80 bye; Robert Joosten 6.5407/285.41, Håkan Persson 17.6581/63.75; Mats Eriksson 6.0045/389.89, Johan Westberg 8.3324/176.41; David Vegter 6.4028/378.15, Roger Johansson 6.0168/387.37; Micke Gullqvist 6.3879/389.89, Andreas Arthursson no time; Per Granqvist 6.4459/320.09, Bruno Bader 6.3647/367.60; Anders Nilsson 6.3215/372.67, Tero Laukkanen 7.5396/253.76; Niclas Andersson no time, Mattias Wulcan no time DQ

Huge shake for Jan, 1.2506 to sixty and from where I am sitting the car was all blurry at that point. Hard right turn and off the throttle, right rear slick just touched the left centre line. Huge flame from Mciek Johansson's left bank as he turned the motor over to start, looked like a special effect at a rock concert or something. No harm done, safety crew there but flame burnt itself out and Micke's motor started. Big burnout for Micke rolling to a halt at half track. Åke shut off after his burnout and was pushed back. Micke took the bye, 1.0605 to sixty then three pedals for shake separated by about half a second apiece, the car was bouncing up and down on each pedal. Shut off past the eighth 4.7522/224.25. Check out Simon's pit notes for the story of Robert's failure to start last session. No such problems this time and a nice burnout. Håkan's car edged forwards as the lights ran. not enough to trigger the clocks. 1.0943 to sixty then shake, two pedals, a move left and right and off the gas. Robert sat in stage for about ten seconds then hit the gas, 1.0482 to sixty, 4.2258/283.17 at the eight, didn't sound full throttle and off the gas and chutes out before the stripe. Gutsy drive for Mats, 0.9991 o sixty then shake and stayed on the gas as the green Goblin swung left and right. 3.9690/309.28 at the eighth and on the gas all the way. 1.0106 to sixty for Johan but then shut it off before the eighth, looked like tyre spin. 1.0038 to sixty for Roger, straight run with black haze from the pipes. 3.9671/308.40 at the eighth. 1.1085 to sixty for David, pedal for shake, got close to the guardrail near the eighth 4.2903/297.70. 1.1508 to sixty for Micke with tyres shaking, a pedal, 4.3672/307.69 at the eighth. Andreas never moved out of stage and was puched back. Bruno away first 0.1080 to 0.5524 but Per's incrementals were better at sixty 1.0236 to 1.0671, Per pedalled briefly as the Coupe made enough of a move to the right to cause a sharp intake of breath by the timekeeper sitting next to me. Per recovered it well with the better eighth 4.1806/283.32 to Bruno's 4.2305/295.24 but he shut it off a touch early. 1.0238 to sixty for Anders and 1.1336 for Tero with shake we felt through the floor. Tero pedalled whilst Anders stayed with it 4.1904/293.00 at the eighth to Tero's 4.7854/266.01. Niclas away first 0.0784 to 0.1099, both hit shake, 1.0593 to sixty for Niclas to 1.0298 for Mattias, Mattias got back on the gas and with the motor screaming the Firebird turned hard left and catapulted across the track in front of Niclas, who was thankfully off the throttle and out of the way although not by much, and hit the left guardrail at a front three-quarter angle at quite some speed then bounced back across the track and sideswiped the right guardrail. Very quick reaction by the safety crews who were there in seconds. Mattias was taken to the Medical Centre to be checked out.

Great run for Johnny to open the session, 0.9782 to sixty, no sign of shake, car went as straight as a Funny Car is capable of going, 3.7885/322.00 at the eighth. Improvement but stayed in place. Ari got to the sixty in 1.1755 with tyres shaking violently, the car turned right with one slick smoking and Ari shut it off. 0.9991 to sixty for Johan, 3.7464/336.45 at the eighth, the car was really acelerating hard in the second half. 1.0861 to sixty for Samuel, a pedal for shake as the Mustang headed for the centre line, back on it when straight and on the gas all the way. Jussi jumped the beams going up on the revs. 1.0490 to sixty for Odd Erik, straight run with no sign of problems. My first look at Ubbe's Vette, what a beautiful piece of kit that is. Great launch, 1.0675 to sixty, was headed for the centre line but Ubbe wrenched it back and he looked to stay on the gas to 1000 feet to boot. 1.0714 to sixty for Michael, car headed right spitting flame and he shut it off before it got to the centre line. Improvement for Mats but stayed in place, 1.0913 to sixty for Pontus and a solid pass moved him up the ladder. Hard right turn during the burnout for Jonas, he had his hands full keeping it in his lane. Great pass for Jonas! 0.9643 to sixty, down the middle of his lane with no dramas. Anette had the drama, 1.0649 to sixty and then her Camaro headed for the centre line and she had to get out of it. 1.0667 to sixty for Jörgen and a couple of pedals. 1.1307 to sixty for Benny with shake, one pedal and back on the gas. Lenn shut off before pulling forward to burn out. Stefan drove through squealing tyre spin, 1.1993 to sixty, car seemed to hesitate momentarily but the ET good for one spot on the ladder. Perfect 0.0005 RT for Stefan, well done Stefan! 1.3478 to sixty with a couple of pedals. 1.0380 to sixty for Andreas and a move up the ladder. Great run for Victor, 0.9915 to sixty and swaying his way gently up the ladder. 1.0421 to sixty for Stefan and then bad shake, off the throttle. 1.0872 to sixty for Pierre with bad shake and shut it off. 0.9960 to sixty for Åke, a long pedal and then back on it and the car really picked up. Fantastic match between Micke and Mats! Micke away first 0.1060 to 0.1730, the better sixty 0.9807 to 1.1095, Micke's front wheels were up in the air to about 200 feet. Mats kept the front end down for a stormer of his own. Another fantastic match to end the session, Rimbert away first 0.0610 to 0.0881, the better sixty 0.9657 to Adam's 0.9891 but Adam had enough for him. Slight improvement for Adam to consolidate #1, same for Rimbert and his #2.

Great run for Anders to open the session. 1.1554 to sixty, front end bounced up and down a couple of times, 4.5782/252.22 at the eighth. 1.1566 to sixty for Timo with the bike already heading straight for the 330 foot reflector. Shut it off and pulled it away from trouble. 1.1553 to sixty for Kenneth, 4.7751/221.22 getting close to the guardrail but stayed with it. Father and daughter in the next pair. Ellsa wanting to get the jump on the old man left before the lights ran. 1.1712 to sixty for Robert, went through a couple of gears then shut off. 1.0726 to sixty for Elvira, sounded like trouble selecting gears and off the gas before the eighth, side by side with Kalle to that point though. 1.0989 to sixty for Kalle, lost the eighth when the timing console cleared.

Languid opener for Stig Olof. 1.4472 to sixty and 5.0871/200.89 at the eighth. Couple of relatively strong sixties for Greger and Anders, 1.2397 for Greger with nitro flames clearly visible, 1.2741 for Anders. Greger feathering the throttle by the eighth 5.7874/188.55 and Anders similarly 5.8906/158.03 as his bike made a violent move and tried to throw him off. Great run for Samu! 1.2338 to sixty, straight down the middle of the lane, 4.5112/278.06 at the eighth. 1.3179 to sixty for Anna-Lena with a cylinder alreasy out at that point. A couple of feathers of the throttle and back on it but then shut it off at the eighth 5.4807/226.04. 1.0896 to sixty for Peter, 4.6964/221.67 pulling it away from the guardrail, then off the gas past the eighth.

12:05

FIA Pro Modified qualifying session 1 (left lane first)

Freddy Fagerström 10.7193/134.83 bye

The irony of Freddy using hairdryers is probably not lost on him. We understand that Freddy did not get the call for Q1 so he was allowed to run out of formal session, with the run to count. 300 foot burnout as you'd expect. 1.3255 to sixty, deliberately gentle launch by the look of things but then Freddy floored it about 200 feet out and the tyres shook and the pick-up jumped in the airm Freddy got off the gas at that point.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Niclas Andersson 5.9859/380.01
  2. Anders Nilsson 6.0943/375.52

FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 1 (left lane first)

Urs Erbacher 12.0339/104.43 bye; Liam Jones 4.0655/432.69 bye, Björn Mårtensson shut off; Micke Kågered 4.3527/321.81, Jari Halinen 4.0304/487.80;

Stig Neergaard 4.0150/480.00, Anita Mäkelä 4.0606/385.71

First competitive outing of 2015 for Eurodragster.com sponsor Urs. Tyres up in smoke at the hit, smoke and a huge yellow nitro haze. Off the gas within a second, 1.2339 at sixty. Unless our race report and our pictures from the inaugural event here at Tierp in 2011 were heart drug hallucinations of mine this is not Björn's first outing in Top Fuel so please stop saying it is. Björn's motor was idling very high after the burnout, crew sorted that out and then shut him off anyway. Liam took a great bye, 0.9043 to sixty, 2.2879/303.03 at 330 feet and 3.2340/430.97 at the eighth, looked like one cylinder out but a new PB, well done Liam! You can stop worrying Kerry, Jac is here. Great match-up to begin with between Micke and Jari. Micke away first 0.1601 to 0.1733, Jari had the better sixty 0.8689 to Micke's 0.8754. Micke had the better 330 foot 2.2447/295.89 (183.86 mph) to Jari's 2.2695/292.84. But then smoke from Micke's motor at the eighth and he was visibly slowing 3.2634/375.52 as Jari belted through the eighth in 3.2325/429.94. Jari's tyre tracks go way beyond the thousand. A new PB for Jari and his speed equates to 303.10 mph, well done Jari and team! Long trail of oil in Micke's lane starting right where the smoke appeared. Hold for clean-up ensued.

Great match between Stig and Anita on the restart. Anita away first 0.1638 to 0.1755, and the better sixty 0.8386 to 0.8796. Anita was pulling away by 330 feet 2.1877/300.17 (186.52 mph) to Stig's 2.2357/300.00 and still at the eighth 3.1558/421.55 to Stig's 3.2021/423.53 but then with no warning just after the eighth there was a bang and flash of flame from Anita's motor. Stig on the gas all the way for #1 spot, Anita's motor was on fire in the shutdown area and the safety crews chased her down, Anita got it stopped with the motor still smoking. Clean-up in the shutdown area.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Stig Neergaard 4.0150/480.00
  2. Jari Halinen 4.0304/487.80
  3. Anita Mäkelä 4.0606/385.71
  4. Liam Jones 4.0655/432.69
  5. Micke Kågered 4.3527/321.81
  6. Urs Erbacher 12.0339/104.43

FIA Pro Stock qualifying session 1 (left lane first)

Sampsa Palos 25.5391/45.94 bye; Jan Ericsson shut off, Bengt Ljungdahl shut off; Christian Sagelv did not start, Simon Gustafsson 10.1707/134.60 bye; Magnus Pettersson 32.7559/32.78, Michael Malmgren 32.9906/29.90; Thomas Lindström no time, Jimmy Ålund 6.4985/345.93

Shake just off the line for Sampsa, 1.1880 to sixty and shut off by then. Jan shut off after his burnout and was pushed back. After a moment we all realised that Bengt was going nowhere either after his burnout, quad went to his aid and escorted him down the track. Problems starting for Christian, safety crew took a good look in the hood scoop but then shook his head. More attempts to start but then signalled to go back to the pits. Simon took the bye, 1.0347 to sixty but from here it looked as if the front end was in the air for a couple of hundred feet, either way shut off at that point. Paired vicious shake and screaming motors for Magnus and Michael, both off the gas within a second. First half of a new European ET record for Jimmy, well done Jimmy! 0.9911 to sixty, 4.1960/274.95 to the eighth. Instant shake for Thomas, 1.5483, off the throttle by then and rolled to a halt just before the quarter.

300-foot burnout for Marko, first time I have seen his '70 Cuda and it's a nice piece of work. Tyres up in smoke and shaking, motor screaming, the Cuda turned hard left past the Tree and Marko shut off. Problems starting for Micke, crew rocking the car back and forth but after Per had pulled his burnout the race officials signalled Micke's crew to quit it and go back to the pits. Per took the bye, 1.0210 to sixty, Coupe made a move to the left but he stayed with it as his crew punched the air. 4.1013/288.62 at the eighth and straight second half. Andreas' crew held on to the back of his car as he started his burnout but they were quickly admonished by Nettan of the start line crew. Great run for Niclas! 0.9870 to sixty, 3.9169/305.43 at the eighth, weaving some but no problem. Languid launch for Andreas, 1.1299 to sixty and looked to have rolled off the throttle by the eighth. 1.0693 to sixty for Johan and then bad shake, shut off as the car approached the centre line. 0.9995 to sixty for Anders, 3.9919/300.00 at the eighth, right down the middle of his lane. Robert's motor would not start, crew were all around it trying everything but eventually ran out of time and were signalled to return to the pits. 1.0324 to sixty for Mattias with the back end of the car lifting and the tyres shaking, a half-second pedal then the tyres picked up, 4.3939/296.87 at the eighth. Huge burnout by David, laying down a marker to Freddy for later. 1.3826 to sixty for David with big shake, off the gas. 1.0086 to sixty for Roger and then backed off by 330 feet, no visible shake marks from here so not obvious what the problem was. Instant shake and synchonised pedalling for Bruno and Micke, Bruno got back on it after a second or so, Micke gave it another go and then shut it off for good. 1.0447 to sixty for Tero, going great guns then looked to back it off just before the eighth 4.1912/275.65. 1.0294 to sixty for Mats with big shake, shut it off.

At time of writing Freddy Fagerström's pick-up is sat just off to the right of my window in Race Control.

Ari's crew had trouble latching the body. Lifted it again and thumped it down with both hands, then thumped on the bonnet, then kicked it a few times which did the trick. Shake and smoke for Ari, 1.3460 to sixty, on and off the throttle trying to get it to stick bu eventually shut off. 0.9732 to sixty for Johnny, getting into a but of a bounce by the eighth 3.8449/329.47 which got quite violent int he second half but he stayed on it until the FC got close to the centre line. Great match between Johan and Leif. Johan away first 0.1160 to 0.3840 and the better sixty 0.9813 to 0.9839, Johan's FC also got into a nounce just before the eighth 3.7838/332.10 to Leif's quicker 3.7763/325.50. Stock / Super Stock qualifying session 4

Anders Eriksson up from #11 to #10 in the second pair. Rick McCann into the nines at 9.9215 and up a spot from #21 to #20, tied with Uffe Edwardsson for Wheelie of the Session at that point - a lot of the usual suspects were flattening the launches in Q3 or this morning. OK, no sooner had I typed that than Björn Bondesson pulled a huge bumper-scraping wheelie and the car carried on to the vertical, pirouetting on its tail right by the guardrail about 200 feet out and thumping down upside down, sliding on its roof down to 1000 feet or so. Safety crews were well on their way before the car stopped sliding. After a few minutes word came back from race officials that Björn is A-OK.

Superb job by the track crew and race officials - less than half an hour between Björn's car stopping upside down at 1000 feet to the next pair firing up. You also can't help but feel huge respect for the first pair of racers to run after the incident who were sat in the bleach box and got the best view of it but then calmly strapped back in and went racing on the restart. Anders Holmberg's Cuda pushed back after the burnout in the third pair after the restart. Thomas Kaakinen up from #19 to #14 in the last pair.

Pro Street outside our window but the part-time photographers are starting to appear so I guess the Pros are in the lanes.

Junior Dragster qualifying session 4

Wilma Andersson lost fire and was pushed back in the second pair. Paired chute deployments by Hampus Sundqvist and Mats Wanvik, that's a picture I'd like to have for our coverage! Next pair Fanny Andersson up from #22 to #3 at 0.0100. Tobias Björnsson up from #8 to #3 next pair at 0.0063 pushing Fanny down to #4. Simon Brusén pushed back and then next pair consternation from the start line crew as John Dantanus pulled forward to stage, stopped and send back for a fluid leak. 0.0920 gets you into the top twenty now.

Super Street qualifying session 4

10.9080 for Kent Forschner-Hell in the first pair consolidated his #2 spot. Looked like staging problems for Christer Gustafsson, it initially appeared that he was going to get another shot at it but then pushed back. It got a bit lively then as the crew lifted the bonnet only to discover a small carb fire, safety crew summoned and put it out. Safety crew walked away, another carb fire. That carb fire sorted out, Christer fired up the motor again and there was a flash of flame which looked to come close to singeing his crew guys' fringes.

Super Gas qualifying session 4

9.9286 good consolidated #3 for Håkan Mattsson in the second pair. Two pairs later an improvement for Bosse Hall, 9.9754 good for #9. Problems for Patrick Wickman on launch, pulled over but then idled along the track to a 52.4257/70.08.

Super Comp qualifying session 4

8.9178 good for a move up to #4 for Bo Ragnebro in the first pair. 8.9926 for Kristins Nygren next pair moved her up to #8, in the other lane Bengt Stafberg's motor hestitated a couple of times then his Gas Rat altered went for the centre line. 8.9094 good for a move up to #2 for Gideon Liljegren. Next pair and Johanna Granholm moved up to #3 at 8.9116. Next pair and Kevin Yrjövaara moved up to #4 at 8.9131, there you go Spencer. Daniel Norberg closed the session at 8.9761 good for #9, the top ten are in the 8.9s.

Good morning and welcome from Tierp Arena for our coverage of the Tierp Internationals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.

It's a beautiful day here at Tierp Arena. Clear blue sky, some cloud skulking on the horizon but moving away from here, yesterday's stiff breeze gone. A big Good Morning to all of the Eurodragsterholics including our faithful friend Ivar Kolberg who is, as ever, tuned in from Norway. To all of you stuck in an office today, we will do our best to get the results to you as soon as possible, just don't get yourselves in trouble.

As is usual when the timing data is provided by Time-Tree we are running split-screen report / result pages. To prevent repetition we will not be posting Sportsman times and speeds but we will post commentaries of everything notable occurring in each round; hopefully you will find that they complement one another. When the Pros run we shall post the usual full reports and results, and as ever we will try to update between each pair so keep hitting Refresh.

No webcasts today but our buddies at Smart TV will be presenting Web TV tomorrow and Sunday for a one-off payment of €15. Stay tuned to ppv.smarttv.se for details; because of our workload here any webcast enquiries directed to us will be routed straight to Deleted Items, as indeed will other queries which could easily be answered by reading our reports, the entry list etc.

Courtesy of Assistant Clerk of the Course Tomas Pettersson, today's provisional running order is available via the Event Index. Today is a moxture of Sportsman and Pro qualifying. We are due to start with Junior Dragster, the Pros are due in the lanes at 09:45 and 13:45, so stay tuned and we will bring you the first results shortly after 09:00.
