Super Comp qualifying session 5

8.9181 for Robin Norén in the second pair good for #8 from #14. Niklas Öhlin into #7 from #11 with an 8.9161 in the following pair. Next pair and Matilda Sjöström-Andersson's car went for a wander in the shutdown area and then looked from here to get into a bounce, Matilda had a hold of it though. 8.9198 for Albin Frank next pair good for #10 from #13. No time for Marcus Back Andersson next pair, moved out of stage. Terje Røisgård up to #7 from #14 with an 8.9140 in the last pair of the session.

That's all the on-track action for today. Tune back in a couple of hours for today's pictures and we understand that there is to be a press conference shortly so we may well go along to that.

Elina Paulsson up from #16 to #13 in the second pair with a 0.0792. Håvard Kongshem next up the ladder, up from #15 to #11 at 0.0674. Next pair and first run of the day for Erika Leanders, -0.3392 put her #19.

15:35

Super Gas Bike qualifying session 4

9.5373 for Robban Pettersson in the first pair, good for #3 spot. His third 9.5 in a row for Thomas Nordin, his earlier 9.5012 still top though. Another 9.5 for Carl Fodor in the other lane also. Improvement for Jarkko Niemi, 9.5347 and third place.

Super Comp Bike qualifying session 4

Big cloud of smoke from Pelle Låkmaker's motor right on the stripe, track checked and pronounced good to go. No changes to the standings in this session.

Super Street Bike qualifying session 4

Leif Larsson up into second at 7.8693 in the last pair of the session.

We are going into a fifth cycle of qualifying although how many classes will be running I do not yet know.

15:20

Comp Eliminator qualifying session 4

Improvement for Pär Eriksson in the second pair, up from #16 to #13 with a 7.2321 from the Volvo C70. In the other lane tyre shake for Daniel Andersson in the Corvette Pro Mod. Next pair and Bjørn Johansen stopped on on the track after his burnout, quad sent for retrieval. Daniel Jedborn waited patiently then took a bye, improvement to 7.3249 with a pedal and good for #11. Problems starting for Gustav Andersson and he was pushed away. Robin Sattler took the bye, 8.8830 kept him in #5. Roger Hyrskylahti was pushed away but then pushed back again a couple of pairs later. First run of the day for Roger, 8.70 index, 7.7994 good for #3, in the other lane a fantastic 6.4642 for Odd Erik Fossum, made up a place but lost it to Roger's intervention so ended up staying #6. Problems for Jens Eklund, the mental Audi struggling off the line, track checked and all OK.

15:00

Stock / Super Stock qualifying session 4

Fredrik Ambros up from #25 to #20 in the fourth pair, 11.0831. Rolf Cederblad pushed away before his scheduled match-up with Peter Johansson, then Peter was pushed back after his burnout and Björn Bondesson took a bye, 10.2597 to consolidate #3 spot. 10.1324 good for #9 spot for Dan Williams.

14:45

Super Comp qualifying session 4

Four 8.9s in the first two pairs. Then a weird one, Kevin Yrjövaara moved out of stage and Matilda Sjöström-Andersson went with him before the lights ran so no time for either. Next pair and an 8.9451 was good for #12 for Albin Frank. Next pair and Rebecca Karlstedt moved up from #13 to to #5 with an 8.9120. 8.9592 next pair was good for #15 for Patrik Kivinummi.

14:30

Super Street qualifying session 4

Identical 0.2639 RTs for the first pair. Simon Gustafsson into #1 spot with a 10.9065 in the second pair. It then got like the last Super Comp session, several breakouts.

Super Gas qualifying session 4

Eight breakouts in the first four pairs, 9.9525 from Fredrik Gravningen in the fifth pair whilst his opponent broke out. Next pair and a 9.9994 for Angelica Larsson good for #12.

14:20

Junior Dragster qualifying session 4

0.0118 moved Ida Lindqvist from #15 to #3 in the first pair. Next pair and Hampus Sundqvist moved up from #14 to #6. Theodor Brandt up from #4 to #3 with a 0.0114 next pair. #16 to #11 for Victor Heleander in the next pairing with a 0.0773. Mari Udtian up to #11 at 0.0714, Maja Udtian one place above her and not yet run... next pair and Mara pulled a 0.0048 good for #2. In the penultimate pair Akseli Koskinen moved up from #16 to #13. 0.0862 separates the top fifteen qualifiers.

14:10

Super Gas Bike qualifying session 3

Another 9.5 from Thomas Nordin, 9.5179 but his earlier 9.5012 trumps it. Another 9.5 for Tomas Jonsson also but his previous best stands.

Super Comp Bike qualifying session 3

8.5601 for Bert Nilsen took over #1 spot in the third pair. The other positions stayed as they were.

Super Street Bike qualifying session 3

7.6236 for Anders Blanck consolidated his #1 spot in the first pair. 7.9412 consolidated #3 spot for Svein Ove Brændhagen in the second pair.

14:00

Comp Eliminator qualifying session 3

Hans Falkenberg now carrying A/TA rather than D/TA now on an index of 7.08 so as we said earlier his placing changed, #11 at the end of session 2. First out alongside the usually very quick Pär Eriksson. Fantastic 6.8556 for Hans good for #9, much improved 7.6559 for Pär. Tactical run for Andreas Athursson I think, chutes out past half track but still a 6.7401. Bjørn Johansen up to #10 at 7.5813. Out of shape burnouts for both Daniel Andersson and Gustav Andersson, Daniel's Corvette in particular wrote several Ws on the track. 6.6266 for Daniel good for #7 in the Pro Mod Corvette, #3 for Gustav good for #3 in the wild pick-up. Next up Odd Erik Fossum and Lars-Georg Johansson neither of whom have had particularly good days so far. Problems sorted then: 6.527 for Odd Erik good for #6, great run! And the crew went wild. 7.1225 for Lars-Georg even better, good for #2. Trouble-free run for Daniel Jedborn this time, 7.4090 good for #12.

13:45

Stock / Super Stock qualifying session 3

Indexes can be found in the list at right. Dan Williams' problem in Q1 was a dead battery. No such problems in Q3, huge wheelie and then 10.1915 good for #7. Anders Eriksson shut off next pair, Lars Björklund took the bye, up from #9 to #8 with an 11.2409. Arto Sulopuisto's 10.1817 good for #2, then Janne Ullberg's 10.2298 good for #4. Big move for Jarmo Markkanen, up from #30 to #10 with a 10.2051. Next up the ladder was Ola Berglund up from #27 to '20 with an 11.2747. Bo Nylund's first run of the day good for #7, 10.7966.

13:25

Super Gas qualifying session 3

We went into this session with ten of the sixteen qualifiers in thr 9.9s. Fredrik Gravningen into #2 with a 9.9062 and Jan Hallman into #5 with a 9.9174 in the first pair. Angelica Larsson pushed back in the next pair, Lars Kjellberg ran another 9.4 to match his previous best. 9.9596 for Christer Uhlin good for #11 next pair. Daniel Bordberg lost drive off the line and was pushed back a couple of pairs later. Very close for Laura Saksa with the last run of the session, 9.8889.

Super Comp qualifying session 3

Micke Nilsson into #1 in the first pair at 8.9022. Robin Norén up from #22 to #11 next pair with an 8.9571. #5 for Leif Andersson of the remarkably unsubtle throttle stop, 8.9177 next pair. I don't know if the air suddenly got better or the headwind dropped but from this point we had an inordinate number of breakouts. Three pairs of breakouts then Marcus Back Andersson pushed back after his burnout, bye for Albin Frank, 8.7544 breakout. Carb fire for Mattias Edvinsson as he went to burn out and he was pushed back, breakout for Rebecca Karlstedt in the other lane. Johanna Granholm finally broke the chain of breakouts with an 8.9082 good for #3, some smoke and track check for Björn Davidsson in the other lane, surface checked and all OK. Whatever ailed Marcus Back Andersson sorted as he paired up with Kevin Yrjövaara in the last run of the session. Problems for Kevin and he was pushed back from his burnout. Marcus took the bye, 8.9410 good for one place up to #10.

13:00

Junior Dragster qualifying session 3

Julia Lindberg up from #5 to #2 with a 0.0072 in the fourth pair. Mikael Granslåen Rolstad up from #10 to #5 with a 0.0413 two pairs later. Jennifer Östegrean next up the ladder, #16 to #4 next pair. Amanda Sjöström-Andersson up into #5 with a 0.0297 in the last pair.

Super Street qualifying session 3

Breakout for Kenny Åsberg in the first pair and quite a lively reaction from his crew who didn't look too amused although he smiled eventually. Two pairs later and a lot of smoke from Marie Wallin's Chevy, track checked and clean-up ensued.

On the restart a 0.0069 RT for Halvor Överby, Jan Jonsson up to #2 with a 10.9121 in the other lane. The top five of fifteen qualifiers are in the 10.9s.

12:20

Super Gas Bike qualifying session 2

Nine qualified at the start of the session, no 9.5s but a couple of 9.6s. Emil Östlund into the 9.5s and into #1 spot with a 9.5458 in the second pair. That lasted one pair as Thomas Nordin took #1 with a great 9.5012, 9.5867 from Jarkko Niemi in the other lane for #3. Tomas Jonsson then into #2 at 9.5079 and in the other lane Carl Fodor into #4 at 9.5640. Five bikes in the 9.5s at the end of this session.

Super Comp Bike qualifying session 2

Similar story here, six bikes qualified and no 8.5s going into the session. Pelle Lakmaker into #1 in the first pair with an 8.8583. Tomas Nilsson into #1 from #3 with an 8.7936 in the third pair. Håkan Braw into #2 in the last pair.

Super Sreet Bike qualifying session 2

Roberth Häggblom into #2 first pair with a 7.9271.

12:05

Comp Eliminator qualifying session 2

Again you can check out the indexes in the qualifying list at right. The mystery car ran in the first pair and turns out to be Hans Falkenberg, D/TA on an index of 8.70 it says here although there is some debate going on about that index, into #1 for the time being at 7.0815 and that was with a pedal. Position may change though as, as I say, there is some question about the index. Next pair and Daniel Jedborn's slingshot started to wander and he had the chute out past half track, in the other lane Lars-Georg Johansson's tyres spun and he gave it up about 200 feet out then got stranded in the shutdown area. Turbo v turbo next pair, Pär Eriksson and Daniel Andersson in the Volvo C70 and Corvette Pro Mod respectively. Same story as last round, spin for both and pretty much a second burnout for the Pro Mod. Big burnout by Hannu Flink fogged the start line for several seconds. Great run for Andreas Arthursson in the other lane, up from #18 to #3 in one fell swoop courtesy of a 6.3197. Tyre spin at the hit for Gustav Andersson in his pick-up, in the other lane Stefan Persson was shut off for a fluid leak. Quick clean-up and groom of both lanes ensued.

11:35

Stock / Super Stock qualifying session 2

You can check out the indexes for these guys in the qualifying list at right. Dan Williams got a time on the board in the first pair after problems last session, 10.2047 on 11.00 index good for #6 at that point and a nice wheelie to go with it. Lars Björklund up from #10 to #8 at 11.2735 and Bengt Ljungdahl up from #4 to #3 at 10.2818 next pair. Janne Ullberg up from #14 to #5 next pair, problems for Jarmo Markkanen in the other lane. Mikael Wollmér up from #19 to #16 next pair with a 9.8944. Tomas Kakkinen next to make a move, up from #24 to #20 at 9.7487. Big move for Mathias Färm, up from #27 to #14 at 10.0499. Anders Hål;én in at #15 with his first run of the day 10.8705.

11:15

Super Comp qualifying session 2

Johanna Granholm in at #5 first pair, 8.9377 after being pushed back in Q1. Matilda Sjöström-Andersson's turn to be pushed back, I guess her reverse failed because she was then all set to stage but then shut it off. Daniel Svanberg took the bye and moved up from #2 to #1 with an 8.9082. Next pair and Rebecca Karlstedt moved up from #21 to #7 at 8.9689. Terje Røsgård up to #6 next pair, 8.9425; at that point the top ten qualifiers were in the 8.9s. Bosse Ragnebro next up the ladder, #18 to #3 at 8.9279 and that was eleven in the 8.9s. 0.0015 RT for Albin Frank but matched with an 8.6976 breakout. Matilda Sjöström-Andersson back for another go in the penultimate run of the session alongside Leif Andersson, Matilda's problem obviously sorted going from #15 to #3 with an 8.9125 and we ended the session with twelve in the 8.9s.

11:00

Super Street qualifying session 2

10.7456 breakout for Stig Pedersen in the first pair. Next pair and Halvor Överby's chance to get a time on the board after jumping the beams in Q1, 11.0078 good for #4 at that point. SImon and Christer Gustafsson paired up next, 0.0205 to 0.0355 RTs then a pair of breakouts. Superb run for Tomas Hägg next pair, 10.9081 and into #1. Jan Jonsson #4 in the other lane, 10.9600. Lina Braathen into #5 next pair at 10.9969.

Super Gas qualifying session 2

Jan Hallman and Lars Kjellberg #6 and #4 respectively after the first pair at 9.9865 and 9.9440. Fredrik Granvningen up to #2 two pairs later at 9.9336. Håkan Mattsson and Annica Larsson up from #4 to #2 and #16 to #6 respectively next pair, 9.9274 and 9.9482. Next pair and Gideon Liljegren ran a more than perfect 9.9000 to take #1 spot, well done Gideon! In the other lane Laura Saksa's motor coughed at the hit and she was pushed back. Daniel Norberg up to #3 two pairs later at 9.9082. Bosse Hall closed the session with a 9.9298 good for #5.

10:45

Junior Dragster qualifying session 2

Lucas Karlsson and Mattias Flamholc first up in this second cycle, neither ran in the last session. Lucas into #1 with a 0.0307. Cilla Koskinen took over #1 spot from #17 next pair with a superb 0.0023. Improvement for Julia Lindberg, up from #10 to #4 with a 0.0557. Theodor Brandt next to make a move, up from #9 to #2 with a 0.0133. Amanda Sjöström-Andersson up from #17 to #9 with a 0.0893. Penultimate pair two next-generation racers, Maja Udtian and Wilma Andersson, both redlit.

10:40

Super Gas Bike qualifying session 1

9.6268 for Jarkko Niemi first pair, breakout for Emil Östlund in the other lane. Breakout too for Tomas Jonsson next pair. 9.8913 good for #2 for Robban Pettersson in the third pair. Thomas Nordin in at #1 with a 9.6065 next pair. Mats Andersson close to the guardrail in the last pair, steered it away but lost time.

Super Comp Bike qualifying session 1

Big wheelie for Jan Nilsson lost him time. 9.0751 for Tage Olsson in the other lane. Even bigger wheelie for Thomas Nilsson next pair with a thumping landing which I can tell you all the men in Race Control felt. Bert Nilsen into #1 in the other lane with an 8.8617.

Super Street Bike qualifying session 1

Great 7.9634 by Roberth Häggblom to open the session. Next pair and Niclas Johansson and Björn Friström were both off the gas early. Svein Ove Brændhagen and Anders Blanck side-by-side into #3 and #1 with a 7.9815 and 7.8693 respectively. Leif Larsson and Tommie Johansson in the penultimate pair, 8.06298 for Leffe and a troubled 10.1518 for Tommie. Dag Wagenius closed the session with an 8.5193 bucking bronco ride so more to come there.

10:25

Comp Eliminator qualifying session 1

Tyres up in smoke at the hit for Lars-george Johansson, motor zinged and off the gas. In the other lane a very nice 8.1798 on 8.70 index for Timo Erhomaki. Odd Erik Fossum shut off for a fluid leak, in the other lane a mystery car with race number 4625 and no other information including index, rattled the tyres at launch and shut off to a 26.6560. Candidate for #1 spot next up, Robin Sattler delivered too with an 8.9860 on a 9.65 index. Gustav Andersson's turbo pick-up pushed back before firing up, Magnus Hägglund pushed forward to take his place. So we had a pair of turbo cars, Daniel Andersson in the Lindahls' Pro Mod and Magnus in his Volvo, very quiet it was out there until staging. Odd Erik pushed back into line whilst Magnus was backing up from his burnout. Daniel's tyres rattled and he shut it off, 8.1177 on 7.50 for Magnus only good for #4. An A/PM next, Hannu Flink on a 7.27 index, Niklas Heikkil&aumk; in the other lane on a 7.97 index. 7.4875 for Niklas good for #3, Hannu had to pedal for shake and ran 7.2705. Pär Eriksson next pair with his wild Volvo C70, one of the names you'd expect to see at or near the top of the list but it was Jens Ekkund in the other lane in his frankly mental Audi A5 who took the lead, 7.5380 on 8.70 index as Pär shut off for shake. Great run for Stig Olsson to take #2 spot, 6.9297 on 7.74. Daniel Jedborn's tyres up in smoke in the other lane. 200-foot burnout by Andreas Arthursson next pair. Paired tyre spin for Nina Olsson and Andreas and a puff of smoke from Andreas' right bank. Lots of smoke from Rolf Simonsson's motor all the way down the track, surface carefully checked and all OK. Peter Thörnäs and Odd Erik Fossum closed the session, Odd Erik's Camaro most definitely on the list of cars I would like to drive. Peter on 7.08 and Odd Erik on 7.26, 6.8356 for Odd Erik good for #6 and that was with a pedal for shake, Peter shut off and had the chutes out at about half track.

10:00

Stock / Super Stock qualifying session 1

Good start for Eik Wallin, 10.4171 on an 11.00 index with a great wheelie. Bengt Ljungdahl took over #1 next pair with a 10.3145 on 11.25. Lars Björklund into #2 next pair with an 11.3973 on 12.00 index. Janne Ulberg's 10.7569 on 11.20 good for fourth spot in the next pairing. Mathias Färm way out of shape off the line, the car lost drive not long after and he idled to the top end. In the other lane Rolf Cederblad went in at #4 with an 11.8425 on 12.30 index. Next pair and Håkan Nordströ and Björn Bondesson went side by side into #1 and #2 with a 9.9563 on 11.00 and 10.2626 on 11.25 respectively, huge wheelie from Björn also. Tarmo Mikkola in at #4 in the next pair 9.8945 on 10.55 index, that lasted one pair as Arto Sulopuisto took over #4 at 10.4517 on 11.20. 10.7883 on 11.50 good for #5 for Lasse Bodén next pair. Uffe Edwardson then in at #3, 10.3118 on 11.25, huge wheelie for Timo Eronen in the other lane. Christer Lidberg in at #5 next pair 10.4338 on 11.25. Last pair and our very own Dan Williams was pushed back, didn't hear his car start at all.

09:40

Super Gas qualifying session 1

Great start for Lars Kjellberg, straight into the 9.9s with a 9.9532 for #1 spot int he first pair. That lasted until the fifth pair when Erik Jansson pulled out the big one, a great 9.9067 for top spot. Next pair and Håkan Mattsson went into #2 with a 9.9406, until the next pair when Tommy Lundberg took second spot woth a 9.9397. Great drifiting burnout by Gideon Liljegren in the last pair and into #5 with a 9.9535. Bosse Hall's Anglia got a bit wayward in the other lane but he had it covered well enough to break out.

Super Comp qualifying session 1

0.0846 RT and 8.9913 for Micke Nilsson to open the session. Next pair an 8.7830 breakout for Robin Norén in his very pretty Dodge Daytona, that was with the chute out early. Great 8.9118 for Angelica Bäckman next pair, good for #1 spot at that point. Great 0.0038 RT by Leif Andersson next pair, 8.8899 breakout though but an 8.6009 by Albin Frank in the other lane outdid him for naughtiness. Great run for Niklas Ohlin next pair, 8.9307 good for second spot at that point. 0.0093 RT by Patrik Kivinummi next pair. Next up my first look at Marcus Back Andersson's new Super Comp dragster and as was the case with his Junior Dragster that has to be one of the nicest race cars I have ever seen, product of Mike Bos which tells you all you need to know. Laura Sassi in the other lane into #2 with an 8.9299 and Marcus into #4 at 8.9454. Superb 200-foot burnout by Daniel Svanberg next pair and 8.9242 good for #2 spot, in the other lane Johanna Gramholm's car never moved and she was pushed back. 8.9692 good for #6 for Kevin Yrjövaara in the final pair.

09:15

Junior Dragster qualifying session 1

Wilma Andersson and Ida Lindqvist opened the Scandinavian Internationals, Wilma first to leave not unlike dad Niclas but a bit urgent with a -0.3445 red. Plenty of time to go right side though. 0.1053 for Theodor Brandt in the third pair put him first at that point. That lasted two pairs as Petteri Liimatainen went top with a 0.0862. Mikael Granslåen Rolstad into second next pair at 0.0938. Mari Udtian took over #1 spot next pair, 0.0854... next pair and Maia Udtian took the lead from her with a 0.0544, in the other lane Håvard Kongshem into #2 with a 0.0820.

Super Street qualifying session 1

10.6598 breakout for Jan Jonsson to open the session, Emelie Jonsson a second off in the other lane 11.9283. Even naughtier for Kenny Åsberg next pair, 10.6426 and Anders Söderberg #1 in the other lane at 11.7117. No time for Halvor Överby after jumping out of stage... the car, not Halvor. Next pair and Christer Gustavsson into #1 spot with a 10.9466, one of those names you expect to see at the top and Christer delivered. Two such names next pair, Kent Forschner-Hell and Tomas Hägg, neither disappointed with 10.9300 for #1 for Kent and 10.9455 for second for Tomas. Huge Super Stock-style wheelie by Daniel Aggelid, car went for a bit of a wander in the second half but 11.2405 goot for #5 at that point. Next up Simon Gustafsson and Stefan Ernryd of Thomas Lindström's sponsor Ernryd Cars, 11.6102 for Stefan good for #7, Simon broke out in the other lane.

08:45
