FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 4 (left lane first)

Top Fuel Dragster is being contested over 1000 feet at this event.

Jari Halinen 5.3212/209.95 bye; Timo Lehtimäki 4.2441/431.65, Stig Neergaard 8.2249/171.32; Monica Öberg 4.4477/428.23, Anita Mäkelä 4.0914/411.27; Micke Kågered 4.1997/456.08 bye; Urs Erbacher 4.6681/276.78 bye; Tommy Johnson Jr 5.1930/219.16, Risto Poutiainen 4.0288/491.36

Jari went into this session outside the ladder, 4.3842 or better to get in. No luck on that front but a good-looking run to begin with. 0.886 to sixty, 2.280/273.69 at 330 feet but the tyres went up in smoke at just about that point and Jari shut off. Next pair, Timo not qualified and Stig on the bump. Then it was Timo qualified and Stig out of the race. 0.924 to sixty for Timo, 2.335/284.36 at 330 feet, 3.3706/395.03 at the eighth. Sig's tyres up in smoke almost immediately, 1.078 to sixty, Stig pedalled and gave it another go but the tyres just went straight up in smoke again so Stig shut it off. Same story next pair, Anita on the bump and Monica not qualified. Monica spectating tomorrow, good run but not quite enough, 0.964 to sixty feet and 3.540/381.63 at the eighth. Meanwhile Anita was on a stormer, 0.879 to sixty, stuck to the track and disappearing into the heat haze, 3.225/415.07 at the eighth, smoke from the motor and then the blower belt flew high into the air, but into #2 spot from the bump. That put Micke on the bump and he was next up and he did a smilar job to Anita. 0.931 to sixty feet, stuck to the track, 2.344/289.54 at 330 feet and 3.348/306.63 at the eighth, into fifth from eighth. Eurodragster.com sponsor Urs comfortably in the ladder before this run, probably a good thing since this run would not have got him in. Started just fine, 0.888 to sixty feet and 2.262/292.84 at 330 feet, but the tyres started to haze approaching the eighth 3.402/320.86 and after a quick pedal Urs got off the gas. Great runs to start with from TJ and Risto, 0.877 to sixty for TJ to Risto's 0.886, 2.283/286.62 to 330 feet for TJ to Risto's 2.2477/298.18, then from here it looked as if Tommy's blower belt broke judging by the car's behaviour. Risto well on his way, 3.223/421.55 to the eighth back into second place and our first 300 mph run in 1000 foot competition at 305.32 mph, well done to Risto, Rune and the guys!

Esko's last chance to make tomorrow's race. Not to be, again the motor sounded unwell. 1.213 to sixty, lots of smoke from the headers, 4.477/303.03 at the eighth. An improvement but spectating tomorrow. Improvement for Paul Ingar but stayed in place. Nice straight run, 0.971 to sixty and 3.683/334.16 at the eighth, Paul's crew delighted when the time and speed came up on the boards. -0.002 red for Timo, 0.9278 to sixty, 3.540/342.42 at the eighth. Eurodragster.com sponsor Derek got to sixty in 1.039 but shut it off at about 300 feet, nothing visibly amiss. Amazingly consistent run for Fred, 0.959 to sixty and 3.543/350.19 at the eighth, all eyes on Grumpy to back up his earlier 5.298 for a European ET record and back it up he did, 0.969 to sixty and 3.552 to the eighth with another huge speed 364.86. Looked like a cylinder out towards the finish but still did enough to back up the record. Well done Grumpy!

1.426 to sixty for Jonas, relatively pedestrian for TMFC, 4.3929/307.17 to the eighth. A clean run though with no visible problems. The next pair was over pretty quickly for Dan as the tyres went up in smoke, the blower panel blew and flew across the track, and the blower belt emerged from underneath the car. Very slight improvement for Danny, 0.958 to sixty feet and 3.874/308.4 at the eighth, stayed fifth. Instant shake for Jarmo and shut off. 1.026 to sixty for Arvid, 3.791/322.39 at the eighth, into second at the stripe and that's got to be close to a PB for Arvid, well done Arvid! Improvement for Leif but not enough to take the #2 spot back. 0.987 to sixty, 3.806/322.39 at the eighth, straight and smooth pass, the Stratus not bouncing around as much as it once did.

Tyres up in smoke for Jöran, smoke and a pop from the motor. Johan got out of the groove and the Viper made a move to the left then the right, up on the two left wheels at one point. Johan did a great job of saving it. Freddy and Jan two racers whom you might expect to see in the ladder, what could they do with their last chances? Exactly what you'd expect! Both into the 6.1s and both into tomorrow's ladder. 1.037 to sixty for Freddy, 1.059 for Jan. Freddy got to the eighth in 4.024/300.84 to Jan's identical ET 4.024/302.69. Håkan hit shake after a 1.115 sixty and shut it off, 1.026 for Micke L blackstriping the first couple of hundred feet, 4.038/299.17 to the eighth and into the ladder. Robert J having been bumped was next up, next to Patrick who was just below him on the ladder, could he do anything about it? Afraid not. 1.021 to sixty for Patrick to Robert's 1.039, Robert audibly drove through shake, 4.106/288.31 at the eighth for Patrick to Robert's 4.220/277.63 having lost time to shake. Smoke from Patrick's motor right on the stripe, track checked and all OK. Roger shut off before the burnout. Norbert took the bye, 1.071 to sixty, tried to drive through shake but shut it off at about 300 feet as the motor was zinging. Nice pairing between Urban and Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy, Andy's tyres tried to break traction with a puff of smoke about thirty feet out but ultimately stuck, 1.029 to sixty to Urban's 1.026, Andy had the better eighth 4.035/297.52 to 4.047/295.57, Urban improved but stayed in place, consistent run for Andy but no improvement. 1.042 to sixty for Kristian, 1.010 for Bruno, 4.078/270.81 to the eighth but then shut it off, 4.001/299.00 at the eighth for Bruno, this run good for two places up the ladder. 1.034 to sixty for Niclas then violent shake and he shut off. 1.020 to sixty for Johan, into the threes at the eighth 3.9878/305.08 and up to third spot. Very languid launch for Peter, 1.577 to sixty, very slight improvement but spectating tomorrow. Timo's motor hesitated off the line, 1.492 to sixty feet, new PB for Timo but in the stands on Sunday. Elvira's motor cut at the hit again. Nice run for Kenneth moved him into the field, 1.144 to sixty and 4.709 at the eighth. Gabbi's bike sounded to be struggling. Could Karl-Heinz, just bumped, get back in? No he couldn't but Rasmus improved, 1.099 to sixty and 4.636/240.21 at the eighth, up one spot. Eurodragster.com Blogger Dave's motor stopped off the line. 1.250 to sixty for Kalle, 4.841/243.13 at the eighth, motor sounded hesitant in the second half. Consistent pass for Martin but a stormer for Fredrik, 1.120 to sixty, 4.575/248.05 at the eighth and into second. Anders' motor stopped off the line. 1.230 to sixty for Jesper, 4.683/245.68 at the eighth, off pace from his previous passes.

FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 3 (left lane first)

Top Fuel Dragster is being contested over 1000 feet at this event.

Jari Halinen 5.5123/204.78, Håkan Fällström no time; Anita Mäkelä 4.3490/358.33, Patrik Pers 5.5841/202.32; Antti Horto 4.2015/429.25, Monica Öberg 4.3925/434.43; Andy Carter 4.2142/432.35, Timo Lehtimäki no time; Stig Neergaard 6.0465/172.30, Micke Kågered 4.3719/440.10; Urs Erbacher 4.3269/372.93 bye

Håkan's tyres didn't light on the burnout. The car moved a couple of feet at the hit but then stopped, maybe the suspect rear end. 0.901 to sixty for Jari but then his tyres blazed about 300 feet out and the dragster started moving left and right, Jari got off the throttle about 500 feet out after the car made a hard right. 0.917 for Anita to Patrik's 0.891, Anita had a cylinder out on the right side but she stayed with it, 3.369/386.82 at the eighth and into the ladder bumping Andy Carter out. Patrik off the throttle before the eighth 3.832/229.79 but a much more promising pass. Great runs for Antti and Monica, Monica into the ladder. 0.911 to sixty for Antti to Monica's 0.950, 2.326 to 330 feet to Monica's 2.438, Antti got to the eighth in 3.333/407.24 to Monica's 3.495/385.16. onica on the bump and Antti up to fourth. Timo's motor stopped almost as soon as it started and had to be cranked over and restarted, Andy on his way back from his burnout before Timo moved. Short burnout from Timo so as not to keep Andy waiting. 0.901 to sixty for Andy, 2.299 to 330 feet and 3.323/393.59 at the eighth with the rear tyres hazing and then smoke from the motor, the lane being checked as I type. Andy into the ladder bumping Monica out. Timo lost drive at the hit, the car moved a couple of feet and stopped.

Just about all the oil in Andy's motor came out by the sound of things, that's kind of paraphrasing the way Kirstie put it from the end of the track. Long (distance) clean-up in Andy's lane then Stig and Micke faced off. Stig on the bump going into this run. Stig got a great start, 0.885 to sixty feet to Micke's 0.946, but then haze from the tyres, smoke and then a ball of flame from the motor. 3.486/386.54 to the eighth for Micke, looked to be on the throttle pretty much all the way. Eurodragster.com sponsor Urs closed the session. Tyres didn't smoke on the burnout but it didn't hurt, 0.905 to sixty,2.276 at 330 feet, 3.332/360.72 at the eighth, judging by the engine note the tyres were turning at the eighth. Some smoke from the motor after shutoff.

0.972 to sixty for Paul Ingar then lost drive with the motor groaning. 0.932 to sixty for Fred and 3.553/348.61 at the eighth. Consistent run by Fred. Great run between Peter and Krister, huge holeshot by Peter but Krister pretty much chased him down, 0.966 to the eighth for Peter and 0.998 for Krister, 3.680/335.40 to the eighth for Peter to Krister's 3.681 at a much faster 349.97. Krister leapfrogged Peter in the ladder. Fantastic run for Grumpy, Europe's first 5.2-second TMD pass. 0.946 to sixty, 3.522 at a massive 365.61 at the eighth. Dennis' run looked pedestrian although it wasn't, 0.933 to sixty and 3.604/335.82. Grumpy into #1 and on a new ET record, well done Grumpy! Eurodragster.com sponsor Derek into second with a great pass, 0.964 to sixty and 3.555/362.42 to the eighth. 0.930 to sixty for Timo, shake and off the throttle before the eighth.

FIA Top Methanol Funny Car qualifying session 3 (left lane first)

Jürgen Nagel 7.6141/340.26, Jonas Staflund 6.2850/373.96; Danny Bellio 7.5272/256.53, Dan Larsen 6.2146/339.41; Jarmo Kuutniemi 5.8194/399.11, Arvid Grødem 5.9461/400.00; Leif Andréasson 5.7978/400.30, Ulf Leanders 5.6537/411.59

Jürgen's tyres up in smoke off the line, 1.349 to sixty feet, stayed with it to about 250 feet, long pedal but then back on the throtle pretty much all the way. 1.150 to sixty for Jonas, 4.158/299.33, shut off a touch early but up the ladder. Danny's tyures up in smoke, Danny stayed with it a while but got off it by the eighth. 1.055 to sixty for Dan, 4.061/298.18 at the eighth, something came off the car at the eighth too - again looked from here like paper but probably wasn't. Great run for Jarmo, 0.987 to sixty to Arvid's 1.167, Arvid drove though shake and the car really picked up from about 500 feet, 3.833/317.83 to the eighth for Jarmo but Arvid's eighth was faster 3.964/320.67. Jarmo up to fourth. Fantastic pair between leif and Ulf, meteoric incrementals for Ulf who went too fast for the speed record - his 406.94 is now a record but the 411.59 was too fast and will need backing up itself. 0.966 to sixty for Ulf, 3.730/328.47 at the eighth. 0.997 to sixty for Leif, 3.838 at the eighth, consistent run. Ulf now done the first half of an ET record would you believe his 5.711 of yesterday was one thousandth too slow to back this one up.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Ulf Leanders 5.6537/411.59
  2. Leif Andréasson 5.7905/398.82

Johnny Jorgensen shut off (bye); Niclas Andersson 6.1051/377.36, Jöran Persåker 8.0639/205.32; Johan Samuelsson 6.5551/344.39, Lina Thun Tønseth 8.4420/179.82; Jari Parén 6.6223/340.48, Marco Maurischat 6.3836/364.13; Martin Lundkvist no time, Freddy Fagerström 6.2287/347.71; Jan Gunnarsson shut off, Patrick Wikström 6.2818/367.85; Per Svedberg 6.5737/354.33, Robert Koper 13.0146/131.68; Norbert Kuno 6.2401/371.90, Kristian Nyström 6.1605/372.41; Ola Dahlblom 6.4847.357.14, Tami Brander 6.4406/359.04; Micke Lindahl 6.4067/350.42, Roger Johansson 6.2359/366.35; Robert Joosten 13.6684/106.55, Håkan Nilsson 6.3563/358.57; Andy Robinson 6.1945/370.88, Urban Johansson 6.2801/363.39; Bruno Bader 9.0627/186.98, Micke Gullqvist 6.0659/382.71; Mats Eriksson 6.1299/383.52, Johan Lindberg 8.9981/163.79; Marc Meihuizen 6.2230/372.41, Adam Flamholc 6.0103/386.54

Lots of worrying around Johnny's car after the burnout and he was eventually shut off and pushed back, clean-up in his lane. Great run for Niclas in the Old 51, 1.031 to sixty, quick wiggle about 200 feet out then straight down the middle of the lane, 4.007/301.84 to the eighth and up the ladder. 1.1947 to sixty for Jöran but shut off before the eighth. Great launch for Linda, 1.024 to sixty but then the car started to move left and right and Linda shut ot off after a violent right turn. Linda's lane checked and a clean-up ensued. 4.745 RT for Johan but a great run when he left, 1.074 to sixty and 4.305/281.25 at the eighth, straight clean run and a big improvement. Eurodragster.com sponsor Marco on the bump going into his pairing with Jari. Both improved but both stayed in place, 1.066 to sixty for Jari to Marco's 1.085, 4.307/273.69 at the eighth for Jari to Marco's better 4.194/288.92. Puff of smoke from Jari's motor in the last 100 feet or so. Stormer for Freddy, 1.040 to sixty and 4.077/297.19, chutes out at about 1200 feet taking out the 1254 foot reflector, but Freddy into the ladder. 1.046 to sixty for Martin, 4.206/283.46 at the eighth, 6.1864 came up with no speed, looks like the ET beam was triggered by Freddy's 'chute or the reflector it hit. Freddy's run may yet be discounted because of the chute hitting the reflector, race officials will confirm whether or not that is the case. Jan shut off immediately upon starting, Patrik tookthe bye. 1.034 to sixty and 4.120/292.05 to the eighth, into the ladder. 1.025 to sixty for Per, 1.134 for Robert K, Robert hit shake and shut it off. Per pedalled for shake but had lost time by the eighth, 4.302/266.27. Problems with Norbert's car, the crew had the right side door open to sort something out and Kristian was back and waiting before Norbert pulled his burnout. Great runs though, 1.063 to sixty for Norbert and 4.100/294.28 to the eighth, 1.030 to sixty for Kristian and 4.030/296.54 at the eighth, PBs for both, well done guys! Ola's and Tami's runs looked quicker than the times which came up on the boards, 1.068 to sixty for Ola and 1.117 for Tami, 4.260 to the eighth to Tami's 4.229. Slight improvement for Tami. 1.047 to sixty for Micke L to Roger's 1.096, Micke's tyres started to shake and the Camaro made a hard move to the right and he had to shut off right on the eighth 4.219/279.94, I am guessing Roger saw him as the cars were alongside one another, 4.125/300.50 at the eighth. Puff of smoke from Roger's car right on the stripe, track OK though. Robert's tyres didn't light on the burnout and he paid for it at the hit, tyres spun and off the throttle. 1.051 to sixty for Håkan, 4.145/285.71 at the eigth, no improvement. Consistent run for Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy, 1.039 to sixty and 4.055/295.40 at the eighth, straight run down the middle of the lane. 1.025 to sixty for Urban, 4.105/291.42 at the eighth, no improvement on his previous best. 1.028 to sixty for Bruno then hit shake and shut off by the centre line. 0.990 to sixty for Micke and 3.982/301.68 at the eighth, great run and good for second. 1,052 to sixty for Mate, 1.024 for Johan and then hit shake and got off the gas before the eighth. 4.049/301.17 to the eighth for Mats, no improvement on his previous run but a consistent pass. Great match-up between Marc and Adam to close the session. 1.006 to sixty for Marc to Adam's storming 0.989, 4.081 to the eighth to Adam's 3.949/304.57, Adam up into #1 spot.

Turns out that I called it right on Martin's run, word from the Chief Timekeeper is that Martin's ET was discounted, and Freddy's time DQ'd for the chute hitting the 1254 foot reflector. But check out that bump spot anyway!

Qualifying after this session:

FIA Pro Stock qualifying session 3 (left lane first)

Stefan Eriksson 7.3723/301.68 bye; Tommy Leindahl 6.8635/325.50, Bo Pettersson 7.2907/315.79; Jonas Dantanus 6.8291/327.47, Jan Palmqvist 6.9504/322.58; Thomas Lindström 6.7754/330.88 bye, Micke Callin shut off; Mats Jacobsson 34.5296/30.32, Conrad Stanley 6.9132/322.58; Richard Sundblom 6.8717/330.48, Sampsa Palos 6.8057/329.27; Michael Malmgren 6.7861/331.49, Jimmy Ålund 6.7417/331.29

Big improvement for Stefan but still outside looking in. 1.063 to sixty, a move to the right, sounded as if the motor was on the limiter before a couple of the gear changes. 4.738/239.57 at the eighth. Looked like Bo had problems on the way back but made it eventually, Tommy waited patiently for his first run of the weekend. Great run it was too, 1.021 to sixty and 4.416 at the eighth, into the list at #5. 1.204 to sixty for Bo, car looked to hesitate a hundred or fo feet out, 4.768 at the eighth. An improvement but not top eight. Improvements for both Dante and Jan, Dante's moved him up the ladder to fourth: 1.021 to sixty to Jan's 1.054 and also had the better eighth 4.397/260.12 to 4.481/256.17. Micke shut off after his burnout and was pushed back. Fantastic run for Thomas, wiping out his PB. 1.010 to sixty and 4.363/261.7 at the eighth, taking a slightly long way round so more left in there I'd say. Well done Thomas! This put Conrad on the bump and he was next up. 1.0327 to sixty, 4.445/256.53 at the eighth, slight improvement and stayed on the bump. All eyes on the other lane though as Mats got way out of shape off the line, big move to the left and how he missed hitting the rail I can't tell you, did a great job of holding on to it. Clean-up in Mats' lane. Nice pairing between Nixxon and Sampsa but no improvements, 1.046 to sixty for Richard to Bampsa's better 1.016, Sampsa had the better eighth 4.384/261.12 to 4.456/260.74. Slight improvement for Jimmy in his match with Michael, 1.000 to sixty feet to Michael's 1.037 and the better eighth 4.336/263.03 to 4.381/262.90.

UEM Top Fuel Bike qualifying session 3 (left lane first)

Peter Svensson 8.4961/162.65 bye; Petri Paljakka 6.9733/297.85, Ian King 6.3602/346.38; Jaska Salakari shut off, Sverre Dahl 6.5317/310.34 bye;

1.041 to sixty for Peter and off the throttle about 250 feet out, maybe a planned checkout since apart from a slight fishtail there was nothing visibly wrong. Great run for Ian, 1,134 to sixty feet, 4,170/299.50 at the eighth and a new best for this new bike but then into the gravel trap at the end of the track. Kirstie at the top end reports that Ian is quite OK and that the bike is likewise good, just filthy. 1.226 to sixty for Petri, 4.578/272.04 at the eighth. Some clean-up in Petri's lane, small pieces judging by the track crew's actions. Sverre's tyre didn't light in the burnout, then Jaska shut off after his burnout. 1.134 to sixty for Sverre, hesitation from the motor when the front end came down, sounded as if there was a little more left in there.

Qualifying after this session:

  1. Peter Svensson 6.0224/340.91
  2. Ian King 6.3602/346.38

Matti Vähäsaari 11.5270/111.41, Samu Kemppainen 8.6296/307.69; Asko Määttä no time, Harri Piensalmi 11.0807/131.07; Trond Høiberget 7.6507/284.81, Jaska Salakari no time; Martijn de Haas 18.1522/49.17, Ulf Nylen 9.4198/219.42; Vidar Ravnsborg 7.3459/281.98, Roman Sixta 8.1823/237.15; Hans Olav Olstad 6.7965/331.09, Petri Mattsson 8.4601/187.96; Job Heezen 8.2367/216.17, Christian Jäger 6.5053/348.61; Per Bengtsson 6.6848/330.48, Greger Johansson 7.1978/311.42 Lorenz Stäuble 8.4310/191.42, Svein Olav Rolfstad 6.6223/342.86; Mark Ashelford 6.7280/317.46, Jan Sturla Hegre 6.7873/326.48

Matti to sixty in 1.144 but off the throttle very early and idled through. 1.659 to sixty for Samu, 6.017/236.95 at the eighth, but in the list now. Asko's motor stopped at the hit and he pulled over to the guardrail. 1.413 to sixty for Harri but the motor hesitated and he got off the throttle and idled through. Jaska's motor stopped at the hit. 1.235 to sixty for Trond and 4.339/236.53 at the eighth, motor sounded to be running out of puff in the second half, good for two places in the ladder though. 1.140 to sixty for Ulf and 1.309 for Martijn, Ulf off the throttle after the front end thumped down, meanwhile in Martin's lane there was a bang and several pieces came off the bike, and a trail of fluid in the second half of the track. 1.284 to sixty for Roman and then the bike headed for the centre line, Roman certainly had his hands full and his legs were flapping about as he tried to maintain balance. 1.190 to sixty for Vidar, 4.754/252.69 at the eighth and then what looked like several pieces of paper came off the bike and fell to the track, maybe Vidar had some letters to post at the other end or something. His run was goof for a move up the ladder though. 1.156 to sixty for Hans Olav and 4.478/280.08 at the eighth, nice straight run with no dramas and an improvement but stayed in place. The drama was in the other lane for Petri, 1.238 to sixty and then having to ride out a serious fishtail, Patrei did a good job to stay on the bike. Fantastic run for Christian to consolidate his #1 spot, 1.115 to sixty left of centre but staying in a straight line, 4.270/287.85 at the eighth. A good 1.171 to sixty for Job but then got close to the rail and it looked as if a cylinder was out. A pair of bikes trying to throw off their riders next pair, 1.138 for Per to 1.147 for Greger, Per kept ahold of the Beast and stayed with it 4.369/272.45 at the eighth for an improvement. 4.583 to the eighth for Greger but off the throttle just before the stripe. 1.195 to sixty for Lo to Svein Olav's better 1.144, Svein Olav was on one, 4.371/287.08 at the eighth and up the ladder. Lo feathered the throttle around 330 feet and was off it before the stripe. We now have a new record bump spot for European Supertwin. Fantastic pairing between Mark and Jan Sturla, no improvements on their ETs but a great match-up, 1.178 to sixty for Mark to Jan Sturla's 1.133, 4.423/278.78 at the eighth to 4.422/270.68, side by side all the way.

Troubled run for Elvira, sounded like no gear shifts, but a time on the board. No improvement for Timo. Peter left before the lights ran. 1.218 to sixty for Gabbi, close to the centre line, 6.031/197.22 at the eighth, troubled run. Troubles run for Kenneth, idled it down the track. Improvement for Rasmus but stayed in place, 1.108 to sixty and 4.662/239.04 at the eighth. Great pair of runs for Anders and Karl-Heinz, both up the ladder. 1.161 to sixty for Anders to Karl-Heinz' 1.162 and 4.665/244.79 at the eighth to 4.766/239.47. No improvements for Eurodragster.com Blogger Kalle or Martin. Same story for Fredrik and Jesper, consistency from both though, puff of smoke from Fredrik's motor at about 1100 feet but didn't seem to affect the run.

08:30

Good morning and welcome from Tierp Arena for our coverage of the Sweden Internationals brought to you in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.

It's yet another beautiful day here, cloudless sky and warm temperatures.

We will of course be giving qualifying the full treatment today with the full standings in Sportsman classes courtesy of our colleagues at Time-Tree and then pair-by-pair commentaries on each run and qualifying lists in Pro classes. We will also aim to post the Pro qualifying updates after each pair although in some classes this may prove difficult since they go through so quickly. But we will do our best.

A live webcam is available courtesy of our colleagues at www.nitroz.se and is priced at €15. If you have any queries about the webcam or wish to comment then you can contact the Nitroz.se guys via their web site - E-Mailing us about it is a waste of time.

A big Good Morning to our good buddy and former Eurodragster.com colleague Sharkman who got in touch from his office yesterday to tell us how much he was enjoying the coverage and how jealous he was of us. Great to hear from you buddy, have that long coffee ready today because there'll be plenty more to read.

We are due to start at 09:00 with Sportsman qualifying for three classes, Sportsman eliminations in the rest, and then today's first Pro session (the third overall) which is scheduled for 10:00. Then there are more Sportsman eliminations and the final Pro session is scheduled for 14:00 before more Sportsman eliminations - the organisers wish to get every class down to at least sixteen for tomorrow.

Stay tuned and when the first pair fire up we'll be back with the news.
