Top Methanol Dragster low qualifier Dave Wilson said his record runs of 5.29 and 5.32 were not perfect they are still working on the combination and mad minor changes to the tune up for today. Yesterday’s runs were dropping cylinders at the top end resulting in lower MPH numbers. Dave said the track surface was providing major assistance in his record lowering performance and added he saw little difference in the lanes, having run successfully in both lanes.

Johan Lindberg, qualified number five in the quickest European Pro Mod field ever, said they only made small changes to the tune up from their 6.06 qualifying run. Johan said the track surface was perfect with no advantage in either lane, and wanted to thank his crew, saying it was a great team that enabled him to go fast.

Top Methanol Dragster number two qualifier and Eurodragster.com sponsor Derek Flynn wanted to say first what an amazing facility this was and commented on the awesome job to get it done so quickly. He said his run in the fourth qualifying session yesterday was an experiment with the fuel system that didn’t work as planned. They will be going back to the tune-up used in the second and third qualifying sessions. Derek said it was great to have Jim Rizzoli here at the track rather than consulting over the phone.

Lucas Oil Team West-Tec Top Fuel Dragster driver Andy Carter also commented on the fantastic facility and was please to be able with a new team to get the Lucas Oil dragster qualified in the number seven spot with thirteen Fuel Dragsters competing at this event. Andy wanted to thank his sponsors and fans for their continued support, noting the team was having a bit of a tough time getting started but confident he would be back on top soon.

Pro Mod number one qualifier Adam Flamholc admitted to short shifting from second to third gear on his 6.010 run. The set up was perfect and he felt that little mistake may have cost him two hundredths.
