Gary Drury dealt with some sticky solenoids and then rode his Super Street Bike into the eights.

Luigi Ferretti ran three six-second, two hundred mile per hour passes in a row on his Top Fuel Bike.

Ian Turburville ran into the sevens on his Supertwin.

After Turbo wrestled the bike through a burnout, he got the easy job whilst Crew Chief Brum pushed him back.

David Warren ran a number of 9.9s on the Manor Racing 9.50 Bike.

Phil Pratt and Julian Harris aka Fast Harry paired up on their 9.50 Bikes although Harry ran into the 9.2s.

Super Street Bike racer Pete Bellenie left his bike at home as it was daughter Rhiannon's turn to play.

Judging by the decals this Challenger used to race, on this pass "Leadfoot" ran a twelve.

John Morris' Probe has grown a hood scoop over the off-season.

There were a lot of spectators at Santa Pod today and the grandstand gave Phil Pratt their attention.

Nigel Payne's Super Mod 'Vette started the day in the eights but slowed down. We hear that Nigel is having converter problems.

All of Joe Kellett's runs today were below the 8.90-second Junior Modified cut-off. We must teach Joe to deep-stage.

Pro Mod racer Ray White and team member Chris are not having a fight, Chris is helping Ray put on his gloves.

Ray strapped in to the Lethal Zephyr 2...it's a pity that Chris didn't remember what Ray did to John Ellis in a similar situation.

Ray took a run at the burnout before his half pass.

Luigi Ferretti on his way to his second six of the day.

Funny Bike racer Shaun Branch was launching gently and then winding up the throttle as he went down the track.

Six legs in search of a fuel leak.

Both of Santa Pod Raceway's Junior Dragsters saw a lot of use today.

Check out the subtle flame job on Kev Slyfield's new Willys Pro Mod.

Your reporter was walking back from lunch when Luigi Ferretti made his third pass and I just managed to get the camera to my eye in time.

Tethys made his first passes in the new Paul Marston Racing Dragster.

The dragster moved around a tiny bit at about half track, but Tet had it covered and in any case he has experience of driving a dragster in the USA.

Kev Slyfield strapped in and ready for his first pass in his Pro Mod.

Kev very sensibly took it nice and easy on the first run.

Nigel Payne was the last racer to run today.
