Your reporter got into the Hall 11 before opening time this morning and found Santa Pod Raceway's display waiting for the onslaught.

This picture is not backwards, for reasons we never ascertained Santa Pod's drifting car has all of its logos the wrong way round on its right side.

Santa Pod's Junior Dragster is a regular Show item which never fails to attract the kids.

Martin Hill's Fireforce 3 Jet FC is shortly to be joined by a twin with the same make of jet and a yellow Chevy Lumina body.

Santa Pod's Supertwin in wheels-up pose gives visitors an idea of how much fun it must be to ride.

You have to judge it well with the RT simulator; we finally pulled a red light by hitting the throttle on one and three quarter ambers.

A nice touch on Santa Pod's display was information cards such as this one about Top Fuel Dragster.

Andy Carter signed autographs before unveiling his Top Fueller in its new colours.

The covers came off and Andy's new sponsor was revealed to be Lucas Oil.

John Price MC'd the unveiling ceremony and then interviewed Andy...

...a big crowd remained to listen to Andy's words.

Andy kindly invited us into Hall 11 during set-up yesterday to get some promotional photographs, this was our favourite.

MSD Ignition had this eye-catching and pleasingly noisy display.

Joe Pando of MSD Ignition said that the company's European market share is already large but that they are aiming higher.

The Lucas Oil UK stand was in the Aftermarket show and had attracted visitors even before the show officially opened.

Second from left is Jim Kelly, Regional Manager of Eurodragster.com sponsor VP Racing Fuels. Steve Wood at right with Sue Whyte and Simon Garlick, all of drag racing sponsor Motorshack.

A few yards from Santa Pod's display was a collectibles stand including some nice Top Fuellers, Funny Cars and bikes.

Eurodragster.com sponsor Motorsport News presented four vehicles on their display...

...including a motorised bed which is headed for a Land Speed Record attempt in the hands of Neil Burgess.

Jo Holland of Motorsport News has now moved to report upon her main love of rallying, but she has fond memories of her time covering drag racing and stays in regular touch via Eurodragster.com.

Santa Pod Raceway's hard-working team were still smiling at the end of Saturday.

We're just coming up on nine years of Eurodragster.com but it still occasionally feels a bit unreal to be treated as real media.
