Top Fuellers as far as the eye can see - and this is with one missing on promotional duty with Harlan Thompson at a US Navy base.

This is Knut Söderquist's new Carbon By Design Top Fuel Dragster, built to the usual immaculate standards by Mats Eriksson.

Barry Sheavills will be driving Rune Fjeld's new Top Fuel Dragster, this week sporting a design by Chris Parker.

Micke Kågered and crew did some sightseeing this morning then came along this afternoon to clean the car (see below).

Siw Nystad's dragster is sporting Sunoco decals: Siw told us that she is working on a deal for 2007.

Next pit bay along is the Batmobil driven by Thomas Nataas - but will he be in the car next year? Check out today's pit notes.

The Speedghost Top Fueller driven by Patrik Pers is imaculately turned out with a beautiful paint job...

...and this is the eponymous ghost.

Ali Aryan came along this afternoon to make his first pass in the Bahrain Express Top Fueller.

Ali doesn't look as nervous as we would be before jumping into a Top Fuel car.

Norway's Siw Nystad is delighted to be here: she told us that she loves Bahrain and its people and that she loves the Bahrain International Circuit. And the food!

Siw shimmied around an oscillating fan to keep cool. At least one other fan was oscillating close by.

Becky and Chris Parker applied the classic Stagecoach name to the car driven by Barry Sheavills.

A nice touch is the Union flag to stop the i.

Harlan Thompson made it back from the US Navy base in time to put in a checkout pass.

Looking for parts for one of Rune Fjeld's cars.

The smile on Barry Sheavills' face says it all - "Great to be back".

Rune and the team fired the car up to check that all was well. Barry had evidently forgotten how loud it can get.

We wouldn't know where to start with this maze of timer piping...

...luckily Kenneth Lorenzton knows what he is doing.

Rune Fjeld checking the timing on Siw Nystad's motor during a fire-up.

Gary Page and Animal working on Patrik Pers' motor.

Gary later went into his stand-up comedy routine for tuner Alan Jackson.

Tongue-in-cheeck we asked Micke Kågered if he had an auto polish sponsor, and after consulting with Team Manager Åsa Kinnemar he said that he has more than one.

Siw Nystad and team member Leon applied Rune Fjeld Motorsport decals to Siw's car.

There is a certain irony in a Post It Note sticker being held on by racer tape.

His labours temporarily complete, Gary Page relaxed whilst in the background others worked...

...similar story with Åsa Kinnemar supervising Micke Kågered.

Ali Aryan made his début Top Fuel pass and put in a very solid sixty foot squirt, the car stuck to the track beautifully.

Same story for Harlan Thompson, all the traction he needed for a sixty-foot checkout pass in the new CBD dragster.
