Tune back tomorrow afternoon for details of Jet FC, Top Fuel, and Supercharged Outlaw in association with American Car Imports.

17:00

Good afternoon and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway. We had a late start for rain, and now we have just been called off for the day. It rained heavily about an hour and a half ago, then rained again as track drying was underway, and the track can't be fully dried before the 6:00 curfew.

We promised to bring you news of the runs by Roger Goring in the Firestorm Jet FC, Darryl Bradford in the Wildside Inc Top Fueller, and the Supercharged Outlaws. The Jet and TF action was scheduled to take place in this hour and so has been curtailed by the rain, but the Supercharged Outlaws ran and these are their times:

  1. Chris Round 8.033/169.17
  2. Roy Wilding 8.384/147.06
  3. Keith Charman 8.760/152.54
  4. Andy Stanton 9.074/153.06
  5. Ian Roddy 10.651/118.11
  6. Frank Griffin 11.308/99.78

The Supercharged Outlaws had another session scheduled in the last hour but that too has been lost.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is a Run What You Brung here at Shakespeare County Raceway, to which all cars and bikes are invited. Entry to the track is £15 per person and an additional £15 and the production of a valid DVLC licence buys you as many passes as you can fit in. The strip opens at 11:00, and the track will of course be fully prepped.

We're just working on today's pictures, stay tuned.
